"memories + maroon secrets"

"memories and maroon secrets" is a collection of writings, photographs, paintings and collages by The Earth Warrior that work together to explore the role of space as a vessel for our collective memory. The sites (featured) in these works invite the viewer to consider the remnants of our invisible labor; the stories of oppressed people; the unseen energy involved in our efforts to have agency over our own lives and futures. It is an intentional focUS on US, the borderless communities of which we are knowingly, or unknowingly, members. Finally, the collection poses the question, "what happened here?"
Is memory the only place that holds our stories and histories?
